Litchfield 5K Cross Country Challenge
26th LITCHFIELD CROSS COUNTRY CHALLENGE
5K ROAD RACE
The 26th annual Litchfield Cross Country Challenge, one of Connecticut's oldest cross country races, will be held at White Memorial on Saturday, Oct. 18th at 2:00 p.m. with registration beginning at 1:00 p.m. near the activity field. The race is sponsored by Litchfield Parks and Recreation.
This year's course will be different than the course which has been run in previous years. It is the same 5K course as run during the Summer Cross Country Series, and the Junior Olympics course for 5K, as well as the old Berkshire League 5K Cross Country course. The race course will be entirely within the scenic trials of White Memorial with the race beginning and ending in the big field by the museum.
Pre-registration is $15 prior to Oct. 11th and $20 after that and on race day. The first 50 runners registered will receive a commemorative T-Shirt.
Timing for the event will be handled by Sunstroke Timing. Runners will be racing for autumn-themed prizes in their age-groups.
