New Bleachers at Community Field
NEW BLEACHERS AT COMMUNITY FIELD
The fine craftsmanship of the carpentry students at Oliver Wolcott Technical School is again on display at Litchfield's Community Field.  It's not only on display, but it is useful! For the second time in as many years Litchfield's Parks and Recreation Department contacted Oliver Wolcott Technical School's carpentry department, headed by John Mascia and arranged for his students to do a community project.

The project was a mirror image of that of last year which was to erect two sets of three-tier bleachers to be housed at Community Field in Litchfield.  Parks and Recreation paid for the lumber and hardware in each case and the carpentry students did the rest.

John's students did a great job.  These bleachers will serve the community well for many years to come.  We owe them a big `Thank you!'” said Brent Hawkins, Litchfield's Park and Recreation Director.

The new bleachers will help spectators relax and enjoy the games at Community Field.
